Conus terebra

Born, 1778

Shell heavy, dull, sub cylindrical, rounded low spire; subungulate shoulder; body whorl staring of slightly convex sides, sculpture with even, regular spiral cords. Aperture narrow.  
Colour: pale yellow, white or mauve with two indistinct, lighter spiral bands centrally and at the shoulder; anterior darker; white aperture.
