Murdochella levifoliata

Description:
Dimensions range from 5.7 mm - 10.4 mm high and 1.62 mm wide.
Width to height ratio: 0.28:1 ~ 0.16:1
Shell: turreted; minute to small. Exterior colour greyish white. About 12 whorls, whorls bicarinate, the upper carina, on the lower half of the whorls; the lower carina is less produced and close to the suture; the last whorl is tricarinate; protoconch with ~2 whorls ; teleoconch with ~10 whorls straight sides above the keel, slightly concave between the encircling ribs. Spire sharply pointed. Suture deep, channelled, obscured by the laminations which extend over it. Imperforate. Costae are close, delicate, undulating, and sharp, extending over the suture. Intercostal spaces few spiral ribs. Base with 3 spiral striae, Columella concave, very little callous. Aperture small sub-orbicular; outer lip lip rounded, slightly efluse, sharp, and with flexuous projections corresponding to the spiral keels.
