Epitonium artimi

Description:
Dimensions range from 6 mm - 7 mm high and 2.2 mm - 3 mm wide.
Width to height ratio: 0.37:1 ~ 0.43:1
Shell: elongate, conical; fragile; minute. Exterior colour white, but may be yellowish tinged with reddish brown band. About 9 whorls; protoconch with ~3 whorls ; teleoconch with ~6 whorls. Suture deeply impressed. Umbilicate. Approximately 25 - 30 costae on the body whorl. Costae are low, thin, not very prominent.. Intercostal spaces finely sculpted with transverse striae, which are only visible under high magnification., with transverse microscopic striae. Columella edge does not completely cover the umbilicus. Aperture suboval.
