Epitonium angulicinctum

(de Boury, 1913)

Description:

Dimensions range from 6 mm - 7.5 mm high and 1.5 mm wide.
Width to height ratio: 0.25:1 ~ 0.2:1

Shell: ; minute to small. About 2 whorls; protoconch with ~2 whorls glossy, slightly inflated; teleoconch strongly convex, angled centrally.=. Suture moderately deep, and open. Imperforate. Approximately 22 costae on the body whorl. Costae are slightly thickened and raised. Costae cross the suture; slightly reflexed. Aperture oval; peristome broken.

Habitat:

Etymology:

[Latin] from angulus = angle, and cinctus = encircled or girdled. Angulicinctum may be interpreted as 'encircled by angles'.
