Cycloscala gazae

Description:
Dimensions range from 2.75 mm - 5 mm high and 1.8 mm - 2.5 mm wide.
Width to height ratio: 0.65:1 ~ 0.5:1
Shell: narrowly to widely scalariform; microscopic to minute. Exterior colour translucent white. About 10 whorls, uncoiled from first whorl; protoconch with ~5 whorls light yellow, acutely orthoconic; teleoconch with 4-5 whorls polygyrate, conical. Spire uncoiled from the first teleoconch. Approximately 12 - 14 costae on the body whorl. Costae strongly fluted and a may or may not have a blunt coronation on the shoulder; slightly recurved. Intercostal spaces intervals smooth, without spiral sculpture. Aperture circular; peristome complete; outer lip reflexed.
Kilburn[1985] notes that Cycloscala gazae somewhat resembles C. revoluta (Hedley, 1899) from the tropical Pacific, but differs from this and other members of the genus in its more numerous ribs
