Acirsa
Mörch, 1857
solid shell, Outer lip thin; broad axial low ribs; with an indistinct basal cord, basal disc lacking. Spiral sculpture of incised groves usually present.
Genotype:
Genotype, Scalaria borealis Beck= Turritella costulata Mighels and Adams, monotypic. Type species: Mörch included only one species Scalaria borealis Beck, which is a nomen nudum, and as synonyms «Scalaria eschrichti Holb. & Moll.» and «S. undulata Sow.». All type designations involving the names borealis Beck and costulata Mighels & Adams are therefore invalid, and Scalaria eschrichti Holböll in Möller, 1842 is here formally designated as type spe-cies.
