Epitonium philippinarum

Shell: elongate, small to moderately small, ranging from 10-23 mm.
Spire high to very high, about 68%-85% of shell height. Whorls convex, disconnected, connected by the costae. Suture deeply impressed. Umbilicus maybe closed or open, represented by a minute chink.
Sculpture: 8-12 costae per whorl with each costa being strong, slender, slightly recurved and appressed to the preceding whorl,sometimes slightly elevated at the suture to form a slight angular shoulder; .
Exterior colour white to pale brown in colour, costae white.
