Lyncina lynx

Shell: moderately small to medium, solid, ovate to sub-pyriform, ranging from 26-59 mm.
Spire concealed. Teeth: 17 to 19 columellar teeth; 18 to 22 labral teeth.
Sculpture: smooth, porcelaneous.
Aperture elongate, narrow.
Exterior colour fawn to blue grey; dorsum covered in diffuse overlapping spots of varying size and colour; base and margins cream, interstices between teeth stained orange; margins cream with prominent dark spots; terminal spots at each end. Mantle line distinct.
