Pterynotus patagiatus

(Hedley, 1912)
Shell small, cream, peach or pink with white varicies. Spire elevated, varicies set slightly behind preceding varicies on earlier whorls give a twisted appearance to the shell. Three varicies per whorl with strong, numerous granular spiral ribs in the interstices, extending onto the backs of the varicies, faces of the varircies fimbriate. Canal recurved, short, sometimes stained with brown.
